Allen Park, MI (My Sportsbook) - The Detroit Lions have acquired safety Ko Simpson from the Buffalo Bills in exchange for an undisclosed 2010 draft choice. The trade is pending Simpson passing a physical. Simpson, a fourth-round selection by Buffalo in the 2006 draft, spent the last three seasons with the Bills. He missed all but one game in 2007 after suffering a leg injury in the season-opener, but returned strong in 2008, making 64 tackles in 16 games (11 starts). In 33 career games (27 starts), Simpson has recorded 157 tackles, two interceptions, five pass defenses and one sack. Also Friday, the Lions released defensive end Orion Martin.
