Milwaukee, WI (My Sportsbook) - The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly signed Milwaukee Bucks restricted free agent Ramon Sessions to an offer sheet. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the proposed deal for the point guard is worth $16 million over four years. The Bucks would have seven days to match Minnesota's offer to Sessions, who was previously extended a $1 million qualifying offer by Milwaukee in June. According to the Journal Sentinel, the Bucks are unlikely to match the offer, as it would put them over the league's luxury tax level. Milwaukee recently took highly regarded guard Brandon Jennings with its first-round pick in this year's draft, while Ricky Rubio -- the fifth overall pick in 2009 -- recently decided to remain in Europe rather than join the Wolves for this season. Sessions had a breakout campaign in 2008-09, averaging 12.4 points and 5.7 assists in 79 games -- 39 starts. Entering his third season in the NBA, Sessions has a career scoring average of 11.6 points in 96 games -- all with Milwaukee. |
