Cincinnati, OH (My Sportsbook) - Jordan Palmer threw for a pair of touchdowns as Cincinnati wrapped up its preseason with a 38-7 rout of the Indianapolis Colts. J.T. O'Sullivan completed both his passes for 23 yards with a touchdown for the Bengals (2-2), who open the regular season September 13 at home against Denver. Palmer finished 8-of-16 through the air for 75 yards and was picked off once. The Bengals decided to sit starting QB Carson Palmer for the preseason finale as he nurses a high ankle sprain suffered in the team's 17-7 loss at New Orleans on August 14. Cincinnati's DeDe Dorsey rushed 13 times for 68 yards and also returned a blocked punt seven yards for the lone score in the fourth quarter. Starting quarterback Peyton Manning sat out for the Colts. Jim Sorgi connected on 11-of-19 passes for 119 yards, and that included a 22-yard TD to Taj Smith in the first quarter. Smith had five receptions for 59 yards for Indianapolis (1-3), which begins regular season play September 13 at home versus Jacksonville. O'Sullivan hit Andre Caldwell with a 14-yard scoring pass in the opening quarter, and Sam Swank kicked a 49-yard field goal late in the same period to give the Bengals a 10-7 edge. Chris Henry caught a seven-yard TD pass from Jordan Palmer and Brian Leonard ran four yards for a score in the final minute of the half. Kolo Kapanui reeled in a 25-yard pass from Jordan Palmer in the third.
