Boston, MA (My Sportsbook) - The Boston Celtics signed guard/forward Marquis Daniels on Tuesday. Daniels averaged 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 54 games last season for the Pacers. He has played the last three seasons for Indiana after spending the first three campaigns in Dallas. "We feel that Marquis' ability to play multiple positions will add great versatility and athleticism to our team," said Celtics president Danny Ainge. In June, the Pacers decided not to pick up the $7.5-million team option on Daniels' contract and he became a free agent on July 1. For his career, he has averaged 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 351 games.
