Orchard Park, NY (My Sportsbook) - Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens returned to the practice field on Monday for the first time since suffering a toe injury during the club's preseason opener. Owens was apparently able to participate fully in practice, the first time he was on the field since going down with the problem during the Hall of Fame contest August 9 against Tennessee. "Yeah, it felt good to be back out," Owens said in an interview conducted following afternoon sessions. "Obviously with toe injuries, there's no way of playing through it, but I've done all the treatments, it's gotten better week to week, and I felt well enough to come into practice." Owens later admitted his toe issue was a result of the type of shoe he was wearing, and not the result of any misstep or physical contact. As a result, he is ready to play if head coach Dick Jauron lets him, in the Bills' preseason finale on Thursday against Detroit. Buffalo opens its 2009 regular-season at New England on September 14.
