Tempe, AZ (My Sportsbook) - Arizona Cardinals rookie linebacker Cody Brown was placed on injured reserve Monday amid a host of roster moves from the club. Brown, the team's second-round pick in the 2009 draft, suffered a wrist injury during an August 22 preseason game against San Diego. In four seasons at Connecticut, Brown notched 24 sacks, 150 tackles, six forced fumbles and two recoveries while starting 33 of 42 games. He was an All-Big East First-Team selection in 2008 after recording 11 sacks and five forced fumbles in 13 games. Additional roster moves saw the Cardinals waive/injured wide receiver Michael Ray Garvin and linebacker Pago Togafau while also releasing safety Keith Lewis and offensive tackle Brandon Pearce. Lewis joined Arizona in the offseason and appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers last season, notching 19 tackles. The sixth-year pro played in every game for San Francisco in four of his five seasons by the bay, totaling 154 stops in 76 games. Togafau had 12 tackles in six games last season for the Cardinals while Garvin and Pearce had signed as rookie free agents.
