Snoqualmie, WA (My Sportsbook) - Loren Roberts birdied the final two holes Sunday to beat Mark O'Meara by a single stroke and win the Boeing Classic.

Roberts closed with a seven-under 65 to finish at 18-under-par 198. His total of 198 beat the old tournament record of 199 that David Eger set in 2005.

O'Meara, who is still winless on the Champions Tour, fired an eight-under 64 to end alone in second at minus-17.

Dan Forsman (66) and Bernhard Langer (67) shared third at 14-under-par 202.

Roberts was chasing O'Meara through most of the round. O'Meara birdied the first to move to 10-under, while Roberts birdied the fourth but gave that stroke back on a bogey at the fifth at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge.

O'Meara birdied the sixth to join Roberts in the lead at 11-under. O'Meara played one group ahead of Roberts and set an outstanding pace over the next nine holes.

The 52-year-old O'Meara birdied the seventh, eighth, 10th, 12th and 13th to jump to 16-under. His birdies on 10 and 12 came after stellar fairway bunker shots inside five feet.

Roberts was not to be outdone. He birdied the same five holes to remain tied for the lead with O'Meara.

O'Meara briefly regained the lead with a four-foot birdie putt on the 15th, but he gave that stroke back as he could not save par from a greenside bunker at the 16th.

Roberts parred three straight from the 14th, then passed O'Meara late. O'Meara kicked in a three-footer for birdie on 17 but could not convert a 22-foot birdie effort at the last.

Trailing by one on the 17th tee, Roberts knocked his tee shot to the par-three within five feet, and he rolled that in to join O'Meara in the lead at 17- under.

"I hit a good shot there at 17 and made the putt," said Roberts, who collected $270,000 for the win.

Roberts found the fairway off the tee at the par-five closing hole, then hit three-wood short of the green. He pitched his third within four feet and drained that putt for birdie and the win.

"That was a great pitch shot there [at 18]," stated Roberts. "I've been hitting my three-wood really good. I didn't think I could get home so I played down the left side and just wanted to get it up there to set up a good pitch and it worked out good."

Despite being denied his first tour win, O'Meara was upbeat afterwards.

"This was a long time coming. It was nice to play well," O'Meara stated. "I made a lot of good putts. I hit some really good shots. Coming up short on 16 was a mistake, but I felt like I hit a better shot. I bounced back on 17, then hit a poor drive on 18. I'm pleased with where I am at, I'm starting to see some better shots."

Hal Sutton fired a nine-under 63 to end alone in fifth at 12-under-par 204. Craig Stadler was one stroke back at minus-11 after a 69 on Sunday.
