Edmonton, AB (My Sportsbook) - Noel Prefontaine's 49-yard field goal in the final minute lifted the Edmonton Eskimos to a 31-30 comeback win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Arkee Whitlock accounted for three touchdowns for Edmonton, catching six passes for 62 yards and a score, while running 13 times for 65 yards and two TDs.
Ricky Ray completed 25-of-33 passes for 347 yards and a touchdown, with one interception, for the Esks, who have won two in a row.
Kevin Glenn threw for 326 yards and three TDs on 22-of-39 completions for Hamilton, which has dropped back-to-back games.
Arland Bruce III had six catches for 119 yards and two scores, while Prechae Rodriguez also made six receptions, for 101 yards and a TD, in the loss.
The Tiger-Cats got a safety about four minutes into the final quarter to take a 30-21 lead.
However, the Eskimos came back to win, making up much of the ground with a quick TD drive later in the stanza. Edmonton took the ball with 9:41 left and went 68 yards in 3:06.
Ray's 48-yard toss to Fred Stamps highlighted the march, which ended on the next play, as Whitlock dashed nine yards into the end zone. Prefontaine's extra point drew Edmonton within 30-28.
A series of punts got the ball back to the Esks with three minutes left, and they advanced into Hamilton territory before Prefontaine kicked the 49-yarder with just under a minute to play.
Hamilton got to its own 48 before a Jonte Buhl interception sealed the win for Edmonton.
The Tiger-Cats built a 14-0 lead after Glenn threw a 45-yard TD pass to Bruce less than two minutes into the game, then connected with Bruce again later in the quarter, on a 29-yard scoring throw.
Whitlock's 14-yard scoring run with under two minutes to go in the opening stanza got the Esks on the board.
A single and 42-yard Nicholas Setta field goal gave Hamilton an 18-7 lead before Prefontaine kicked a 37-yarder about midway through the second quarter. Setta booted another field goal, this time from 24 yards out, before Edmonton got the final points of the half.
Ray's 14-yard TD pass to Whitlock with under two minutes left got the Eskimos within 21-17 at the break.
Prefontaine opened the third-quarter scoring with a 35-yard field goal, but Hamilton expanded its lead with under five minutes to play in the stanza.
At the Edmonton 34, Glenn fumbled the ball but recovered and proceeded to throw a touchdown pass to Rodriguez. Edmonton challenged the play, but the score was upheld.
The Esks got a single before the close of the quarter to get within 28-21.
