Glasgow, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Kris Boyd and Steven Whittaker scored two goals apiece as Rangers continued its perfect start to the season with a comfortable 4-1 win over Hamilton at the Ibrox Stadium. Whittaker had the home side in front after 19 minutes and Boyd added another eight minutes later before scoring his second goal of the match midway through the second half. Whittaker then made it 4-0 before Hamilton's Mark McLaughlin tallied a consolation goal with three minutes to play. The win is the third straight to start the season for Walter Smith's men and they sit on top of the league table, while Hamilton has lost its first three matches by a combined score of 10-1, and they remain rooted to the bottom. Rangers needed 19 minutes to take the lead as Steven Davis set up Whittaker for an easy finish, while a mistake by Hamilton inside their own penalty area eight minutes later saw the visitors fall behind by two goals. A cross from Sasa Papac was headed towards his own goal by Simon Mensing, and Boyd was on hand to beat goalkeeper Tomas Cerny with a header. Boyd then extended the lead to three goals after the break when he was on the other end of a pass from Steven Naismith and hammered the ball home from 10 yards. Whittaker then doubled his scoring output two minutes later after working a nice one-two with Davis and firing past Cerny from outside the box before the visitors grabbed a late goal as McLaughlin headed home a corner kick. Stephen McGinn's second-half double helped St Mirren rally to beat Kilmarnock, 2-1, Aberdeen was held to a 0-0 draw by Motherwell at Pittodrie Stadium and Dundee United maintained its unbeaten record with a 2-1 win over Falkirk as Danny Cadamarteri and David Goodwillie scored goals early in the second half.
