Zurich, Switzerland (My Sportsbook) - Russian Yelena Isinbayeva bettered her own world record in the pole vault with a leap of 5.06 meters at the Weltlklasse Zurich Golden League event Friday. The 27-year-old Isinbayeva, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, failed to record a height last week at the track & field world championships. Four years ago, she became the first woman to clear the five-meter barrier. Her leap of 5.05 meters stood as the world record until she improved the mark Friday. |
