Philadelphia, PA (My Sportsbook) - The Philadelphia Eagles have signed tight end Tony Curtis and linebacker Curtis Gatewood while also releasing a pair of players. To make room on the roster, Philadelphia released quarterback Adam DiMichele and wide receiver Shaheer McBride. Curtis played in all 16 regular-season games in 2008 while a member of the Cowboys. He made eight catches for 32 yards but was released in the offseason and signed with the Kansas City Chiefs, who subsequently released the fifth- year pro earlier this month. Over 36 career games with Dallas, Curtis has 11 receptions for 50 yards and three touchdowns. All three scores came on his only three grabs of the 2007 season. Gatewood signed with Washington as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2008 and later signed with Kansas City. He appeared in six games and recorded four special teams tackles last season. Both DiMichele and McBride had signed with the Eagles as undrafted rookie free agents -- the former on August 12 as insurance against an injury to Kevin Kolb -- and the latter prior to the 2008 season. McBride spent all of last season on the practice squad.
