Arlington, TX (My Sportsbook) - The Cowboys cut the ribbon on their brand- new, billion-dollar stadium with a 30-10 preseason victory over Tennessee.

It was the first football game played at Cowboys Stadium, the team's retractable-roof facility built at a reported price tag of $1.15 billion.

"The electricity that we felt just prior to the opening kickoff was really special," Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said. "Tonight confirmed what we were thinking all along -- that this is a venue that can create a great atmosphere. We look forward to that carrying over into a very unique home field advantage for the regular season."

A possible flaw within the stadium was uncovered in the third quarter, however, when Tennessee reserve punter A.J. Trapasso hit the massive overhead screen above the field with a punt, causing fourth down to be replayed.

Tony Romo was crisp in leading Dallas on a pair of touchdown drives in the first half, throwing for 192 yards on 18-of-24 throws. Jon Kitna added 111 passing yards and a TD on 9-of-12 efficiency, as the hosts atoned for a 31-10 loss to Oakland in its preseason opener last week.

Marion Barber and Felix Jones each rushed for a one-yard score in the first half, finishing with 32 and 17 rushing yards, respectively.

Neither Titans quarterback stood out, with Kerry Collins seeing the first-half snaps and finishing with 55 passing yards and a touchdown on 8-of-11 tosses.

Vince Young took a step back, completing 3-of-9 passes for a mere 33 yards with an interception. Javon Ringer led all players with 33 yards on five carries. Justin Gage caught the only touchdown for Tennessee, which had won its first two preseason games.

Dallas controlled the ball in the first half but only led 14-10 at the break, with Rob Bironas chipping in a 46-yard field goal for Tennessee.

After a scoreless third quarter, Kitna hit Kevin Ogletree with a two-yard score. Following Tennessee quarterback Patrick Ramsey's intentional grounding in the end zone later in the frame, Stephen McGee connected with Rodney Hannah from 22 yards out to account for the final tally.

Game Notes

Tennessee did not record a first down on its first three possessions...Dallas' Roy Williams, who suffered a sprained wrist in practice earlier this week, caught five passes for 36 yards. Martellus Bennett led Dallas with 65 yards on four grabs...Jared Cook caught three balls for 34 yards to lead the Titans.
