New York, NY (My Sportsbook) - Janel McCarville's driving layup with 8.2 seconds left in overtime, her 21st and 22nd points of the game, was the difference as New York edged Connecticut, 85-83. Shameka Christon poured in 23 points and McCarville added a game-best 13 rebounds for the Liberty, who avenged a 74-69 setback at Connecticut on Wednesday. Sandrine Gruda led all scorers with 24 points and ripped down 12 boards for the Sun, who had won three of four coming in. Tan White posted 15 points, Amber Holt added 11, while Anete Jekabsone-Zogota sank a game-tying three-pointer with 1.3 seconds left in regulation and finished with 10 points. Connecticut rallied from an eight-point deficit at the half and made it a close contest with a strong third period, then needed Jekabsone-Zogota's trey with time running out to reach overtime before losing.
