Oakland, CA (My Sportsbook) - The Oakland Raiders released veteran fullback Lorenzo Neal on Wednesday and signed safety Rashad Baker. Neal, who signed with the Raiders in the offseason, is widely considered as one of the best blocking fullbacks in NFL history, paving the way for 11 straight 1,000-yard running backs during his 16-year career. In 239 career games, Neal has carried the ball only 226 times for 807 yards and six touchdowns. He has also compiled 199 receptions for 1,086 yards and 12 TDs. The 38-year-old was a fourth-round pick in 1993 and has spent time with the Saints, Jets, Buccaneers, Titans, Bengals, Chargers and Ravens. Baker, 27, was recently released by the Eagles, who signed the free agent in March. He played in 10 games for the Raiders last year, recording 24 tackles and three interceptions. Over his five-year career, which included stops in Buffalo, Minnesota and New England, Baker has compiled 78 tackles and five interceptions in 52 games.
