Metairie, LA (My Sportsbook) - The New Orleans Saints have waived cornerback Jason David and signed first-year cornerback Greg Fassit. David spent the past two seasons with New Orleans after playing his first three years with Indianapolis. He notched 75 tackles with eight interceptions in 27 games, including 18 starts, for the Saints after signing as a restricted free agent in April 2007. The 27-year-old veteran started 43 of the 48 games he played with the Colts from 2004-2006, totalling 143 tackles with eight interceptions. He was a member of Indy's Super Bowl XLI championship team. Fassit signed with the Saints in January 2008 and was with the club in training camp last year. He was also with the practice squad of the Chicago Bears in 2007. |
