Winnipeg, MB (My Sportsbook) - Anthony Calvillo threw for 261 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Montreal Alouettes to a 39-12 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Calvillo completed 23-of-37 passes and threw two interceptions, but Montreal (6-1) improved upon its league-leading record. Kerry Watkins had five receptions for 105 yards, including a 71-yard score to begin the second quarter.

Jamel Richardson, Kerry Carter and S.J. Green each hauled in a touchdown catch in the win for the Alouettes.

Alexis Serna accounted for all of the Blue Bombers' scoring, hitting 4-of-5 field goal attempts. Winnipeg (2-5), though, couldn't avoid their fourth loss in five games after committing four turnovers -- two by Michael Bishop, who went just 13-for-35 passing for 155 yards with two interceptions.

Winnipeg opened the scoring on a 31-yard field goal by Serna in the game's opening minutes, but Montreal scored 24 of the next 27 points to take a commanding lead.

Damon Duval quickly tied the game with a 23-yard field goal for Montreal with six minutes left in the first quarter, and Calvillo found Green for a 14-yard touchdown reception 2 1/2 minutes later for the Alouettes' first lead.

Serna made it 10-6 with a 40-yard field goal to begin the second quarter, but Watkins recorded a 71-yard touchdown reception on Montreal's next offensive play, and Calvillo threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Carter 1 1/2 minutes later to open up a 24-6 margin.

Serna hit his third field goal of the game, a 44-yarder, with seven minutes left until halftime to help Winnipeg close to within 15, but a Montreal safety touch accounted for the 26-9 score at the midway point.

The Blue Bombers added another field goal from Serna from 30-yards away to start the third quarter, but Calvillo's fourth touchdown pass -- an eight-yard strike to Richardson -- gave Montreal a 21-point edge at the midway point of the quarter.

Neither team scored again until Duval added a pair of field goals -- from nine and 24 yards out -- in the waning moments to account for the final score.

Game Notes

Bishop is 1-2 as the Winnipeg quarterback...Montreal took both regular season meetings against the Blue Bombers last season...Calvillo had just two interceptions coming into the game before throwing two Saturday against Winnipeg, which leads the CFL with 16 picks this season.
