Brooklyn, MI (My Sportsbook) - Brian Vickers will start on the pole for Saturday's CARFAX 250 Nationwide Series race after posting the fastest lap in qualifying at Michigan International Speedway. Vickers made a lap around the two-mile track at 184.814 m.p.h. (38.958 seconds) in his No.32 Braun Racing Toyota for his fourth career Nationwide pole, but his first since May 2008 at Charlotte. "We really focused on race trim yesterday, and that was the first qualifying lap I made on the track," Vickers said. "Two poles (at Michigan) is very special, but what we really would like to be is in Victory Lane at the end of the race." Vickers also won Friday's qualifying for the 400-mile Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan. Trevor Bayne qualified second for the Nationwide race, followed by Kyle Busch, the current points leader, Jeff Burton and Brad Coleman. David Ragan, Carl Edwards, the defending race winner, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick and Greg Biffle completed the top-10. Kertus Davis, Casey Atwood, Jason White, John Wes Townley, J.C. Stout, Kevin Lepage, Derrike Cope and Morgan Shepherd failed to qualify. The race is scheduled to start around 3:30 p.m. (et).
