Madrid, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Arjen Robben has stated that he wants to stay and fight for a first-team place at big spending Real Madrid this season. The Dutch international winger, who signed from Premier League side Chelsea in 2007, has been linked with a return to England with Tottenham but these reports have been quashed. Robben came off the bench to score for the Spanish giants against Toronto FC in a recent friendly win and he is keen to figure in coach Manuel Pellegrini's plans. Speaking to reporters, Robben said: "My intention is to stay here. "I believe that I can help this team a lot. I have a lot of confidence for the coming season. "But for me, the most important thing is to prove my worth in training and matches." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
