Montreal, QC (My Sportsbook) - Anthony Calvillo threw for 390 yards on 35- of-43 passing and Ben Cahoon went over 12,000 yards receiving for his career as Montreal made short work of Toronto, 25-0.
Adrian McPherson gained negative three yards on four touches, but connected on a one-yard touchdown pass for the Alouettes, who bounced back from a 33-19 loss to Edmonton last week to move to 5-1 on the year. Avon Cobourne added two touchdowns with 54 yards on 15 carries and also had 40 yards on five grabs.
Cahoon recorded 103 yards on eight catches to move to 12,030 for his career. Eric Wilson caught McPherson's pass for Montreal, which last recorded a shutout on September 5, 1976 in a 28-0 victory over Toronto.
Kerry Joseph was 7-for-14 passing for 61 yards with an interception, and Cody Pickett went 4-for-7 for 63 yards for the Argonauts, who have lost two in a row and four of five to move to 2-4 on the season. Cory Rodgers had two grabs for 39 yards in the setback.
After recording just a single in the first quarter, the Alouettes increased their lead late in the second frame.
An early single was followed by a 10-play, 86-yard drive that resulted in a one-yard touchdown run from Cobourne. Damon Duval's conversion made it a nine- point affair with about four minutes left before the break.
McPherson hit Wilson for a one-yard TD pass as the half expired to cap a nine- play, 81-yard trek that gave Montreal a 16-0 advantage heading into the locker room.
Montreal added a safety in the fourth and Cobourne finagled another one-yard TD to make it 25-0 with about nine minutes left to play.
