Toronto, ON (My Sportsbook) - Hamilton running back DeAndra' Cobb and linebacker Jamall Johnson, Edmonton kick returner Arkee Whitlock and Saskatchewan slotback Chris Getzlaf were named the CFL's top players for the fifth week of the season. Cobb rushed for a career-high 167 yards and two touchdowns in the Tiger-Cats' 30-18 win over British Columbia to grab the Offensive Player of the Week honors. He also had a pair of receptions for 27 yards in his second weekly award of the season. Johnson recorded 10 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble against his old team to take the defensive honors, as Hamilton recorded a season sweep of the Lions. He is currently second in the league with 34 tackles. Whitlock was selected as the top special teams player after registering 131 yards on three kick returns, including a 65-yarder in the fourth quarter of Edmonton's 33-19 win over Montreal. Getzlaf nabbed the Canadian Player of the Week award after catching five passes for 101 yards and two touchdowns in Saskatchewan's 24-23 win over Calgary. His second touchdown was a 65-yarder in the fourth quarter that proved to be the decisive score.
