Madrid, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Netherlands midfielder Rafael van der Vaart has confirmed that he is hoping to leave Real Madrid this summer. The 26-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at the Bernabeu, having only been with the Spanish giants for a single season. He told De Telegraaf: "The head coach has told me that I will mainly warm the bench in the upcoming season. So for me there's no point in staying at the club. "Real want to recoup the money they paid for me about a year ago. However, I totally understand that interested clubs are not in a hurry to make an inquiry about me.
