Celadna, Czech Republic (My Sportsbook) - Steve Webster shot a three-under 69 on Saturday to grab sole possession of first place after the third round of the Moravia Silesia Open.
Webster, a second-round co-leader, finished 54 holes at 11-under 205 and is one clear at Prosper Golf Resort.
Graeme Storm, who shared the overnight lead with Webster, posted a two-under 70 and is tied for second place with Spain's Ignacio Garrido, who managed a three-under 69 on Saturday. The pair came in at minus-10.
Sam Little (70) and Gareth Maybin (68) share fourth at nine-under 207.
Webster flew out of the gate on Saturday with a seven-foot birdie putt at the first and a four-footer for birdie at the par-four second. He cooled a bit with five consecutive pars, but a three-foot birdie putt at the eighth gave him a two-shot lead at 11-under par.
Webster found trouble with an unlikely bogey at the par-five 10th. He gave himself decent looks at birdie putts over the course of the back nine, but Garrido took advantage of Webster's pars to take first.
Garrido, a two-time winner on the European Tour, parred his first 11 holes on Saturday, then caught fire. Three straight birdies from the 12th brought him into a tie for the lead with Webster.
After a par at the 15th, Garrido hit his second shot just short and right of the putting surface at the par-five 16th. He chipped in for eagle to find himself two shots ahead of Webster.
Webster got within one thanks to his own play at 16. He hit his second to almost the same spot as Garrido in the group ahead of him, but Webster couldn't hole out for eagle. He settled for a birdie to reach 11-under, but watched as Garrido handed him the third-round lead.
At the last, the Spaniard hit a terrible drive and stayed in the rough with his second shot. Garrido pitched out with his third shot and hit his fourth to 15 feet.
Garrido missed that putt and walked off with a double-bogey and a share of second place.
"I didn't hit a good tee shot, but it wasn't that bad," acknowledged Garrido. "The lie was so tough. I couldn't move it. I hit it 30 or 40 yards. It just didn't come out and then I had the same lie again.
"That's golf."
Webster also found the rough at 18, but was able to muscle a seven-iron to the green. He two-putted for par and his third 54-hole lead on the European Tour.
"Missed one green, lot of good shots, but didn't make enough putts," said Webster, a two-time winner on the European Tour. "It was a bit frustrating, a 69, but I'm right in a great position so it's good."
One of Webster's wins came with the third-round lead, so the Englishman has some experience in this area.
"I feel good. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Should be a good challenge," said Webster. "It's a different mindset tomorrow. You've got to do your own thing and focus on what I'm going to do."
Robert-Jan Derksen (71) and Oskar Henningsson (67) share sixth at minus-eight, while John Bickerton (72) and Richie Ramsay (70) are tied for eighth at seven- under 209.
