Celadna, Czech Republic (My Sportsbook) - Graeme Storm and Steve Webster moved atop the leaderboard after Friday's second round of the Moravia Silesia Open.
Storm shot his second consecutive four-under 68, while Webster managed a two- under 70. The pair finished 36 holes at eight-under 136 and is one clear at Prosper Golf Resort.
John Bickerton (71), Robert-Jan Derksen (70), Ignacio Garrido (70), Maarten Lafeber (68) and Sam Little (67) are knotted in third place at seven-under-par 137.
This is the first tournament in the Czech Republic since 1997.
"It is nice here in the Czech Republic," acknowledged Storm. "The weather is fantastic and we are getting some spectators. It is nice to come to new venues - the scenery is fantastic with the hills."
The Englishman began on the 10th tee Friday and played a brilliant opening nine. Storm birdied 11, 13, 14 and 16 to move to eight-under for the championship.
Storm cooled a bit on his second nine. He parred his first five holes on the front side at Prosper Golf Resort, then got to minus-nine thanks to a 10-foot birdie putt at No. 6.
Storm fell into a tie for the lead after a bogey at the par-four eighth, a hole he birdied on Thursday. He parred his last for his third second-round lead on the European Tour.
"I thought I could shoot three- or four-under a day because the weather is perfect," said Storm, whose only win on tour came at the 2007 Open de France. "Although it is a little tricky with the wind changing all over the place.
"If I can stick to that, that is my goal. I think that would do the job. I'm not saying I'm going to win, but I'm hoping to be contending right at the death. I've been playing nicely."
Webster also started on the second nine for round two. He birdied the 11th and 13th holes, but a drive into heavy rough at 14 led to a double-bogey and erased both of his early birdies.
The Englishman parred five around the turn, then bogeyed the second to fall to five-under for the tournament. Webster parred the next two holes, but caught fire at a point he appeared to be in trouble.
A poor drive at the fifth looked like it would lead to bogey, but Webster hit a spectacular approach to a foot. He tapped in for birdie, then birdied the next two to join Storm in front.
"I'm looking forward to playing the weekend," said Webster, a two-time winner on tour. "I've played good this year - a couple of seconds so I'm knocking on the door. If you keep knocking, it will open."
Webster shared second at both the Indonesia Open and European Open.
Jose Manuel Lara posted a two-under 70 and is alone in eighth at minus-six.
Francois Delamontagne (72), Santiago Luna (69), Gareth Maybin (66), Richie Ramsay (68) and Fabrizio Zanotti (71) are tied for ninth place at five-under 139.
Overnight leader Tano Goya struggled to a three-over 75 and fell into a tie for 14th at minus-four.
The 36-hole cut fell at one-over 145 and Shane Lowry, who won the Irish Open as an amateur, missed the weekend by four strokes.
