Mississauga, ON (My Sportsbook) - The Toronto Argonauts have traded All- Star wide receiver Arland Bruce III to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in exchange for defensive lineman Corey Mace, a third-round pick in the 2010 CFL Draft and a conditional pick in 2011. Bruce joined Toronto in 2004 as a free agent and has recorded three seasons of more than 1,000 receiving yards. In 77 games over parts of six seasons with the Argos, he made 327 catches for 5,086 yards and 40 TDs. He also helped Toronto win the Grey Cup in 2004, has been named a division All-Star three times and was selected as a league All-Star once since joining Toronto, which signed him to a contract extension in January. "We would like to thank Arland for his contributions on the field over the years and wish him well," Argonauts general manager Adam Rita said. "We believe we received the best value we could get for Arland given the circumstances. We believe strongly in the direction in which our organization is headed." Bruce, who also spent two seasons with Winnipeg, has also received a number of fines. Earlier this month he was fined for a touchdown celebration in which he paid tribute to the recently deceased pop star Michael Jackson. Mace spent the last two seasons with the NFL's Buffalo Bills, and played in three games in 2008.
