All five starters for the Storm reached double figures with Lauren Jackson pacing the squad for 19 points and eight boards. Swin Cash donated 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Tanisha Wright added 14 points for Seattle, which could not overcome 17 turnovers and 12 three-pointers from the Stars. An 11-0 run by San Antonio in the later stages of the fourth yielded a 69-64 cushion for the hosts with 1:24 to play. Sue Bird, who finished with 12 points, drained a three later on to pull Seattle within two, and Wright followed a Hammon turnover with a jumper to tie the game with 14.5 ticks remaining before Young sent the crowd home happy with the game-winner.
