Tempe, AZ (My Sportsbook) - The Arizona Cardinals signed linebacker Cody Brown, the team's second-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, to a four-year contract on Tuesday. Financial terms were not disclosed. Brown starred at Connecticut, where he received All-Big East Conference First- Team honors in 2008. He recorded 11 sacks, a career-high 56 tackles and forced five fumbles in 13 games last season while playing the defensive end position. In his four seasons with the Huskies, the Coral Springs, Florida, native finished with 24 sacks, 150 tackles, six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries while starting 33 of 42 contests. To open a roster spot for Brown, the Cardinals released cornerback Tony Davis, who was an undrafted rookie free agent from Penn State.
