Foxborough, MA (My Sportsbook) - The New England Patriots signed safety Patrick Chung, a 2009 second-round draft pick, on Monday and released safety Antwain Spann. Terms of the deal for the 34th overall pick out of Oregon were not released. The 5-foot-11, 212-pound Chung started a school-record 51 straight games on defense as a Duck, and finished his senior campaign with 92 tackles and two sacks in 13 games. Spann spent parts of the last three seasons between the practice squad and the Pats' 53-man roster. He saw action in 19 regular-season games and three postseason tilts.
