Malmo, Sweden (My Sportsbook) - Marcus Fraser carded a three-under 70 Saturday to grab a one-stroke lead after three rounds of the SAS Masters.
Fraser, the 2003 BMW Russian Open winner, completed 54 holes at eight-under- par 211.
Jeppe Huldahl matched Fraser's 70 to move into a share of second place at minus-seven. He stands alongside Lee Slattery (75) and Martin Erlandsson (72).
Second-round leader Ricardo Gonzalez struggled to a four-over 77 and dropped into a share of sixth place with Marcus Higley (70) at six-under-par 213.
Fraser did not take the lead until late in the round. He tripped to a bogey on the third to go with seven pars in his first eight holes at Barseback Golf and Country Club.
The Australian recovered that lost stroke with a birdie on the par-five ninth. He birdied the 11th for the second straight day to move to six-under.
Fraser, who turns 31 on Sunday, made it two straight as he birdied the par- five 12th for the third day in a row. He was within one of the lead, but parred his next four holes.
He finally joined Gonzalez in the lead at minus-eight with a birdie on the 17th. Fraser parred his last and that was good enough to give him the lead.
"Just keep plodding along, that's all the mindset was," Fraser admitted. "This is a tough course."
Huldahl birdied one and two, then wrapped bogeys on four and six around a birdie on the fifth. A birdie on No. 8 helped Huldahl make the turn in six- under.
The 27-year-old grabbed a share of the lead with birdies on 10 and 14, but tripped to a bogey on 15 to dip to seven-under. He parred his last three holes to end there.
Slattery had a pair of bogeys and a pair of birdies on the front nine. However, he dropped three strokes in a five-hole span from the 11th to slide to minus-six. He got one shot back thanks to a birdie on the 17th.
Erlandsson bogeyed the third and fifth, but jumped to seven-under with three straight birdies from the ninth. He tripped to a bogey on 13, but atoned for that error with a birdie on the 16th to share second.
Jean-Baptiste Gonnet and Wade Ormsby both carded three-under 70s Saturday to move into a share of seventh at five-under-par 214 with Pablo Larrazabal (74).
Oskar Henningsson (73) and Alejandro Canizares (70) are tied for 10th at minus-four.
