Brooklyn, MI (My Sportsbook) - Travis Kvapil gave manufacturer Toyota its first win in a NASCAR national series, winning the Line-X Spray-On Truck Bedliners 200 at the Michigan International Speedway.

Kvapil started at the back of the field after an engine change and powered past his Toyota teammate Mike Skinner for the lead with 16 laps remaining in the 100-lap event.

The victory was Kvapil's first of the season and fourth of his career.

Ted Musgrave, Skinner, Johnny Benson and Bobby Hamilton completed the top- five.

Series points leader Dennis Setzer, who started on the pole due to Friday's rainout of qualifying, finished 10th, but remains on top of the standings. Setzer's lead over Hamilton is now 38 points.

Hamilton swept to the early lead and dominated along with Skinner for most of the race despite the fact that seven different drivers led at least one lap.

Hamilton led through lap 83 when Brandon Whitt brought out a caution in turn two. As Whitt was slowing and NASCAR officials were reaching for the caution flags, Kvapil was powering inside of Hamilton to take the lead.

"My truck really worked good in the middle of the track and I never lifted," said the winner in Victory Lane.

Kvapil withstood a restart on lap 94 after three-time champion Jack Sprague blew an engine and crossed the finish line as a caution flew came out when David Reutimann hit the wall and spun back across the track.

The next race in the Craftsman Truck Series championship, the Power Stroke Diesel 200 from the Indianapolis Raceway Park, is scheduled for Friday, August 6th.
