Chicago, IL (My Sportsbook) - Defender Michael Parkhurst has rejoined the U.S. men's national team ahead of its CONCACAF Gold Cup semifinal against Honduras on Thursday. Parkhurst, the FC Nordsjaelland-based defender, appeared in the United States' group games against Honduras and Haiti before returning to Denmark to start the league season. Additionally, Chicago Fire goalkeeper Jon Busch has been called in to replace Luis Robles, who has rejoined Kaiserslauten ahead of the Bundesliga season. Busch has been part of the official 23-man Gold Cup roster from the beginning, but remained with the Fire until needed. Busch, the 2008 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, has one cap to his credit. |
