Ayrshire, Scotland (My Sportsbook) - Lee Westwood dropped a shot on the fifth, but bounced back with a birdie on six and an eagle on seven to take the lead during Sunday's final round at the 138th British Open Championship. Westwood made the turn at Turnberry at four-under par for the championship. He was minus-two for his round. Watson, who is trying to make history as the oldest major champion, dropped a pair of shots early, but got back within one with a birdie on the seventh. He then bogeyed the ninth to make the turn at minus-two, two behind Westwood. Mathew Goggin also dropped two shots early in his round, but birdied the par- five seventh to get back to minus-two. Luke Donald two-putted for par on the 18th to set the clubhouse lead at even- par 280. His three-under 67 matched the low round of the day. Westwood is hoping to become the fourth Englishman to win the British Open and first since Nick Faldo won his third claret jug in 1993. Watson, if he were to rally and win, would become the oldest major champion, the oldest winner in both PGA and European Tour history and it would be his ninth major championship, which would tie him for most in history. Goggin, like Westwood, is trying to break through and win his first major championship title.
