Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Everton appear to have failed in their bid to sign Espanyol defender Marc Torrejon, who looks set to sign for Racing. The 23-year-old former Spain Under-21 international has opted to remain in Spain rather than trying his luck in the Premier League. "His move to Racing is not official but the agreement is now complete," confirmed Espanyol's sporting director Ramon Planes. It is believed that Torrejon will pen a four-year contract with Racing when he completes his $1.5 million transfer.
