Tampa, FL (My Sportsbook) - Buccaneers Pro Bowl cornerback Ronde Barber sustained a fractured left thumb in the fourth quarter of Tampa Bay's 23-10 win over Carolina on Sunday. Barber underwent surgery on Monday and is questionable for Sunday's showdown with Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers. "We're going to remain optimistic and realize Ronde won't be playing the piano anytime soon," said Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden. "If there's any guy alive that can find a way to play, Barber's that guy." Barber had three solo tackles in the Bucs' victory. Shortly before the play on which he injured his thumb, Barber returned a Carolina fumble for a touchdown, but the turnover was reversed after a Carolina replay challenge. "Right now he is very questionable for this game," said Gruden. "Should he be able to play, he would wear a cast on that thumb. Obviously, we are very concerned about him, as he is a great football player." Gruden also said wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson has a right rib contusion, but is probable for next Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers. Defensive tackle Warren Sapp has a lower back strain and offensive tackle Kenyatta Walker has a right ankle sprain, but both players are probable for Sunday's contest between the two 8-2 clubs.
