The 27-year-old was reported to be growing increasingly frustrated with the club's failure to offer him a new deal with less than a year remaining on his existing contract. But the graduate of the Catalan club's youth system has now put pen to paper on a new five-year contract at the Camp Nou. "I am very happy and very satisfied," he told the club's official website. "For me, it is an honor to be able to defend the Barca colors every day. "The most important thing is to repeat titles. I am happy to stay for many more years with the club I love."
