Villarreal, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Giuseppe Rossi's agent has denied reports claiming Manchester City have tabled a bid for the striker. The Villarreal frontman and Italy international was reported to be wanted by City in a $32 million transfer this summer. Rossi's stock has risen for both club and country following his move to Spain from Manchester United's reserve team two years ago. However, agent Federico Pastorello has denied suggestions that an offer has been made for the 22-year-old striker. Pastorello also expects the American-born former Parma forward to remain with Villarreal next season. "Nobody has offered the going price and I am 99 percent certain the player will be with Villarreal next season," he said. "Rossi is happy in Villarreal and would only consider leaving for one of Europe's six big clubs." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
