San Jose, CA (My Sportsbook) - The San Jose Sharks have re-signed forward Ryane Clowe to a four-year contract, the club announced Monday. Per team policy, financial terms were not disclosed. In 71 games last season, Clowe registered career-highs in goals (22) and assists (30), tying for first on the team with 11 power-play goals. "We believe Ryane is entering the prime of his career and can be a dominant player in this league for years to come," said Sharks general manager Doug Wilson. "We feel he is an important piece to this team, as his hard-nosed play, passion for the game and commitment to succeed are all part of his make- up." In four seasons with the Sharks, Clowe has 41 goals and 96 points in 162 games. He was a sixth-round selection in the 2001 NHL Draft.
