Atlanta, GA (My Sportsbook) - The Atlanta Thrashers signed unrestricted free agent forward Nik Antropov to a multi-year contract Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team policy. The 29-year-old compiled career-highs with 28 goals and 59 points over 81 combined games with the Maple Leafs and Rangers in 2008-09, recording seven goals and 13 points in 18 contests after coming to New York in a March 4 trade-deadline deal. "Nik Antropov is a proven scorer in this league and a top-line forward with tremendous size, skill and experience," said Thrashers general manager Don Waddell. A native of Kazakhstan, the former first-round pick of the Leafs back in 1998 has racked up 132 goals and 304 points in 527 NHL contests with Toronto and New York.
