Calgary, AB (My Sportsbook) - The Calgary Flames have signed veteran center Garth Murray and forward Riley Armstrong. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. Murray appeared in 10 games last season for Phoenix and did not register a point, spending most of the campaign with San Antonio of American Hockey League. He notched 11 goals and 10 assists in 64 games with the Rampage. Originally selected in the third round of the 2001 draft by the New York Rangers, Murray has skated in 116 NHL games with the Rangers, Canadiens, Panthers and Coyotes. He has eight goals and two assists. Armstrong made his NHL debut last season with San Jose, playing two games without recording a point. He had 25 goals and 17 assists in 71 games for Worcester of the AHL.
