Munich, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Italian striker Luca Toni has pledged his future to Bayern Munich, following rumors of a possible return to his homeland. The 32-year-old faces increased competition for places following the arrivals of Ivica Olic and Mario Gomez, but Toni is content to stay put. He told Bild: "I feel very happy in Munich. Bayern have everything that I want at the moment - excellent prospects for the title and a real chance to win the Champions League. "With such a strong team we can achieve that and I promise my fans - I will stay true to Bayern. I will train even harder, give even more from my performances. "There are always enquiries from well-known clubs and there will continue to be. But at the moment I still see the best chances to play top-level European football are at Bayern. "The Bayern fans stand firmly behind me and I am an important part of a team successful in Europe. Why should I move?" (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
