Fayetteville, AR (My Sportsbook) - Jermaine Brooks, a former Arkansas defensive tackle, pleaded innocent Monday to charges of selling drugs and possessing stolen weapons. Brooks was arrested by Fayetteville police following the seizure of 10 1/2 pounds of marijuana at his home on October 22. Also, two handguns discovered in his apartment during the raid were found to be stolen. Officers also seized approximately $17,000 in cash. Brooks faces seven felonies alleging drug possession, drug distribution, simultaneous possession of several rifles and handguns and theft by receiving. Auburn Celeste Williams was arrested with Brooks, but will not be charged. A trial has been set for January 29. Brooks was dismissed from the team by Arkansas coach Houston Nutt a day after the arrest.
