Barcelona, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura is poised to join Espanyol after deciding against a return to Japan. The Japan international midfielder was expected to re-sign for Yokohama F. Marinos following the end of his Parkhead contract this summer, but Nakamura now appears to be heading for Spain. "We have been told by his agent that Nakamura has decided to go to Espanyol," confirmed a spokesperson for the J-League outfit. "He said he was in two minds but decided to play in Spain, where he has wanted to go for a long time. "But we respect his decision and hope he will have a productive spell in the Spanish league."
