Seville, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Spanish club Sevilla have pulled out of talks over a deal to sign Tottenham's Ivory Coast midfielder Didier Zokora. The 28-year-old is reported to be surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, having spent three seasons in north London following his arrival from St Etienne. However, Sevilla are concerned at the price Spurs are seeking. Their president, Jose Maria del Nido, said: "The distance between what they asked and what we are willing to offer was so great that we left it there. "Zokora's not the only option. The number two on our list is just as valid an option as Zokora and is younger. "We requested permission from Tottenham to talk to him because we wanted to know what his disposition was. "He said he would be very excited to play in a competition he never has before in the Champions League, but we must deal with a level head." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
