Berlin, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Hertha Berlin General manager Michael Preetz has rejected reports that unsettled coach Lucien Favre is poised to quit Hertha Berlin. Favre's future at the Berliner Olympiastadion has been the subject of much speculation following the departure of long-serving general manager Dieter Hoeness last week. But amid reports of unrest behind the scenes, Preetz has denied a claim that his Swiss coach is seriously considering his future. "The important thing for me is what Lucien Favre has told me in private talks and I cannot see any sign that he wants out of his contract in Berlin," he said. Meanwhile, Preetz has suggested that Favre could instead be in line for a new longer-term contract. "When you are following a long-term aim, then I feel it is only legitimate to talk about a contract extension," he added. (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
