San Jose, Costa Rica (My Sportsbook) - United States men's national team defender Frankie Hejduk has been ruled out of Wednesday's World Cup qualifier against Costa Rica as he continues to recover from a strained groin.

Hejduk, a veteran of four World Cup cycles, is hoping to return for the June 6 match against Honduras in Chicago.

U.S. coach Bob Bradley added Houston Dynamo midfielder Ricardo Clark to the roster for the Costa Rica match. Clark has collected 18 caps for the full team, including four appearances in World Cup qualifying.
