West Des Moines, IA (My Sportsbook) - Mark McNulty birdied the fourth extra hole to win the Principal Charity Classic.

McNulty carded a five-under 66 in the final round to get into a playoff with Fred Funk (66) and second-round leader Nick Price (68), and then ultimately picked up his seventh Champions Tour crown.

All three players parred the first playoff hole. Price parred No. 18 again, but was knocked out of the playoff as Funk and McNulty made birdie.

McNulty and Funk both parred the third playoff hole, before McNulty ended the extra session with a birdie on the fourth extra hole at Glen Oaks Country Club.

Mark Wiebe shot two-under 69 Sunday to end alone in fourth place at eight- under-par 205. David Eger was one shot back at minus-seven after closing with a three-under 68.

Jay Haas, who won this event the last two years, shared 17th place at minus- three after shooting even-par 71 in the final round.

Funk birdied the fourth to join Price in the lead minus-six. Back-to-back birdies from the sixth gave Funk a one-shot lead over McNulty and Eger.

After McNulty tied him in the lead, Funk moved back ahead with a birdie on the par-five ninth. Funk then birdied No. 11 to get to 10-under where, he was one shot clear of the field. He parred out and wasn't caught until late in the round.

McNulty played alongside Funk in the penultimate group. He ran off three straight birdies from the sixth to join Funk in the lead at minus-eight. McNulty birdied the 10th to again share the lead with Funk

The 55-year-old McNulty tripped to a bogey on the 15th, but came right back with birdies on 16 and 17 to share the lead with Funk at 10-under. He parred the last to get into the playoff.

Price, despite being the second-round leader, needed to rally to get into the playoff. He tripped to a bogey on the second, then birdied the fourth. After back-to-back bogeys from the fifth, Price ran home three straight birdies.

His birdie run ended with a bogey on No. 10. Price then birdied the 11th and 12th to get within one of the lead. He closed with a birdie on the par-four 18th to force the three-man playoff.

John Cook closed with the low round of the day, a seven-under 64 to share sixth place at six-under-par 207 with Loren Roberts (66), Tom Jenkins (67), Tom Kite (69), Bruce Summerhays (68) and Morris Hatalsky (65).
