Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - Red Wings forwards Pavel Datsyuk and Kris Draper both missed Saturday's 3-1 win over Pittsburgh in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Datsyuk, who has only a goal and six assists in the playoffs after posting 97 points in the regular season, also missed the final three games of the Red Wings' series against the Blackhawks with a swollen foot. He suffered the injury blocking a shot in a Game 2 win in that series. Draper is slowed by a groin pull. Head coach Mike Babcock said Draper is more likely than Datsyuk to play in Game 2. Meanwhile, defensemen Nicklas Lidstrom and Jonathon Ericsson both returned to play Saturday. Lidstrom missed the final two games of the Chicago series with a lower-body injury, while Ericsson recently had an emergency appendectomy. Ericsson missed only the clinching Game 5 victory of the Western Conference Finals.
