Detroit, MI (My Sportsbook) - Red Wings forwards Pavel Datsyuk and Kris Draper will both be out when Detroit begins its title defense against the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Datsyuk, who has only a goal and six assists in the playoffs after posting 97 points in the regular season, missed the final three games of the Red Wings' series against the Blackhawks with a swollen foot. He suffered the injury blocking a shot in a Game 2 win in that series. Draper has a groin pull and will not play, although he has played in only four games in the postseason. Head coach Mike Babcock said Draper is more likely than Datsyuk to play in Game 2. Ville Leino and Justin Abdelkader will replace the two injured players in the lineup. Meanwhile, defensemen Nicklas Lidstrom and Jonathon Ericsson are both available to play Saturday. Lidstrom missed the final two games of the Chicago series with a lower body injury, while Ericsson recently had an emergency appendectomy. Ericsson missed only the clinching Game 5 victory of the Western Conference Finals. Lidstrom has four goals and nine assists in 14 contests this postseason, while Ericsson has posted two goals and three assists in 15 games.
