Munich, Germany (My Sportsbook) - Mario Gomez has revealed he turned his back on lucrative moves abroad to join Bayern Munich from Stuttgart. The 23-year-old Germany striker has agreed a deal in principle to join the Allianz Arena outfit after the two clubs agreed a fee around $35 million. Gomez had been strongly linked with a move to several English Premier League sides. "I am moving because I want to take the next step in my career and Bayern are the German club who can hold their own in Europe," he said. "I had offers from Italy, England and Bayern and I only needed two days to decide. "Bayern have been interested in me for the last two years - even after a bad European Championship - and this is also why I didn't go abroad.
