Indianapolis, IN (My Sportsbook) - Helio Castroneves dove to the underneath of Scott Dixon and reclaimed the lead after a restart on lap 142. Dixon has led the most laps so far with 73. Rookie Nelson Philippe made contact with the wall on lap 133, putting the race under caution for the fifth time and setting up a round of pit stops. Franchitti ran in second before his stop but exited his stall with the fuel hose still attached to the car. He had to roll back into the box as his crew removed the hose. Franchitti fell to eighth. As Vitor Meira entered his stall, his car erupted into flames. Meira's crew quickly extinguished the fire, and he was able to continue on. Dixon was the quickest off pit road and led before Castroneves overtook him. Oriol Servia suffered engine failure just after the halfway point. Servia joined Philippe, Tony Kanaan, Davey Hamilton, Graham Rahal, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Mario Moraes as those drivers currently out of the race. |
