Villarreal, Spain (My Sportsbook) - Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini will leave the Primera Liga club at the end of next season. The 55-year-old Chilean has been in charge at El Madrigal since the summer of 2004, but feels that the time is right to consider a new challenge. His agent, Jesus Martinez, told Chilean newspaper La Tercera: "We are always getting enquiries from various important clubs around Europe. The only certainty is that we will not renew his contract. "Six years is a sufficient time to be in one place and the offers are too good to ignore for his professional development." Meanwhile, Pellegrini has reacted angrily to a run of two wins in seven games, sending his squad home from training on Wednesday due to a perceived lack of commitment. Midfielder Cani Told Marca: "You have seen that the coach has been annoyed a bit. It has not been a great day and we have not done as well as we could have done. "We must look for the positive side of it as it can be a wake-up call for some of us." (Courtesy of sportbox.tv)
